• Align client’s goals to those of Home Depot. Keep a pulse on the hot topics and concerns with Home Depot.

• Work with the manufacturer to develop a yearly promotional calendar that Home Depot’s merchant endorses and can use to get additional advertising and/or endcap exposure.

• Launch new products or programs within Home Depot or in partnership with Home Depot.

• Build brands to compete with or compliment Home Depot proprietary brands.

• Preparation for the yearly Marketing Meeting where co-op fees are negotiated.

• Consult and assist with Product Line Reviews.

• Help the client navigate Home Depot’s advertising requirements and increase odds that product is featured in a positive light.

• Explain “above and beyond” advertising co-op programs and build a program that leverages Home Depot opportunities.

• Work with Home Depot’s Sales and Promotions department to attempt to secure product placement in one of the many television programs that Home Depot sponsors. Placement opportunities range from Trading Spaces to This Old House to Hometime to ESPN Gameday.

• Work closely with Home Depot’s management team that develops the monthly customer clinics. Goal would be to work client’s product into curriculum.
